About this Speaker

Bina Lefkovitz has worked in the youth and community development fields for the past 35 years. Her expertise in policy, program and partnership development, as well as direct community and youth development make her a valuable addition to the Sacramento team. From 1999-2010, Bina founded and co-directed the Youth Development Network (YDN) and prior to that, she served as Special Projects Director to the Sacramento City Manager helping to establish the Neighborhood Services Department, and serving as the Community Development Director for the Housing and Redevelopment Agency. Bina is a Trustee on the Sacramento County Board of Education. She has volunteered as a leader with Area Congregations Together, advocating to improve education, school site council member and/or chairperson at Bret Harte and CK McClatchy, and as a member of Sacramento City Unified School District Social and Emotional Learning and Graduate Profile committees. Bina has a BA from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana and a Masters from the LBJ School of Public Policy.
